Install command not found or invalid option

After extracting files from downloaded file I did try all three different install commands (but I got “Invalid option” or “Command not found”. See attached console image. Ups… I need Karma3?? for upload image.
Well… With su rpm -Uvh *.pm I got invalid option -U. With su -c yum install *rpm I got bash yum command not found. with urpmi *rpm I got bash urpmi command not found.
Is there another way to install LO 4.2.3??? Thanks.
By the way, my system is Lunix 2.6.21.4 eeepc i686 (debian 4.1.1-21) KDE 3.4.2. 2GB Ram. 40GB SSD. Thanks.

First, you are on Debian and you are trying to install RPM package? Why? Download DEB package for Debian.

Second, you are trying toinstall 4.2.x? Why? This is development version of software are you aware of it? Explain more. If not then install software from: https://www.libreoffice.org/download

Now I see… I did download deb file 4.1.2.3…x86_64. File extraction OK. According to readme file I did sudo dpkg -i *.deb command with apparently no problem… it just full my screen with text and no error messages. Readme file says no more commands are needed. I should have LO icons in my desktop applications office menu but I do not have them. I did reboot my machine just in case but still no icons… any advice?.. Thanks a lot.

Wait a minute… x86_64 is not my system either… My screen was full with error messages!!!..Now I am downloading deb X86 only file for a i386 system… give me 5 minutes…

Now I am moving on… sudo command was slow and all files were processed… I have icons in my desktop office applications but when I click on any of them non of them open… I get sand clock rolling around for a while and then just nothing… any suggestion will be appreciated… Thanks.

I quit with this… regardless installation was apparently ok, LO never launched. I had to change O.S. to other with LO 3.x preloaded.
