I have been working with my database, suddenly, my pc shut down. When I turned it on, every window I've been using has closed. When I opened it, no recovery dialog box appeared. So I checked the folder where I saved my first draft (without the additional data I have inputted before my pc shut down. Then an alien document appeared with a file format odb.lck.

I tried opening the two (.odb and .lck). When I clicked the .odb, the database is shown in LibreOffice writer with random characters. While, .lck is not accessible.

Thank you for answering!

The lck extension usually indicates a file that is locked while opened for changes.

As a long shot try you might try changing the file name from xxxx.odb.lck to just xxxx.odb

Good Luck!
