Default parameters for all sheets: Changing them

I discovered that the default parameters for all sheets are set by the first sheet. My question is about changing one or more parameters (e.g. orientation as portrait to lanscsape, or default row or column width or font or …) once you have more than one sheet already completed. Is there a way to change parameters for all sheets without going through changing them sheet by sheet?

I am using Version: 6.4.2.2 under Mac OS 10.15.4

Thanks

I discovered that the default parameters for all sheets are set by the first sheet.

That’s basically not the correct view - The defaults are set by the template in use. The difference is: If you change the first sheet and create a second sheet afterwards, these new (additional) settings of the first sheet are not inherited by the second sheet. The second (and any additional) sheet will be created with using the settings of the template. I admit that this might be bit of an academic view, but mentioned that here to avoid misinterpretations.

Hello,

if you want to change settings on more than one sheet - select the all the sheets where you want your new settings being applied to.

To do so: Hold down the CTRL key and click each sheet tab at the bottom (right above the status bar) of yor document.

Sheet 1 selected only:

Regarding my comment
My comment points to the direction you need to go, if you want different settings for all new sheets and all new documents. You’d need to create a new default template.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your answer. For Macs the key to use is the COMMAND key. As to the success of your merthod: The first and second sheets were set up for “Landscape” there the default for Calc is “Portrait”. I selected all sheets and Format/Page/Page and saw that the default seemed Landscape. But I then checked on the newer sheets and found they were also still “Portrait”. So, I Command-mouseclick-ed the newer sheets and all were changed when I hit Fotmat/Page/Page/ and hit Landscape.

The moral of this story is that if one of the sheets is set cup there way you want, don’t include them in the set of sheets to change.
