Calc Calendar Dropdown Menu

Hi all,

Id like to find out if I can add a dropdown calendar menu to my Calc spreadsheet?
I saw there is a extension for a calender on the Libre repository, but I would prefer it if the menu is fixed in the cell.
I’ve also come across a few Openoffice macros, but my knowledge of macros is poor so Im not sure how to use it.

Thanks in advance!

Do you mean something like that?
Rename it to “calendar.ods” after download

calendarInCalc.gif

Hi JohnSun, when I open the renamed file this is what I see(see attached image).calc open.png
when i click on the dates I receive this error(see attached image).calc error.png

Any ideas?
Im running Libreoffice 4.1
Thanks again for your help

Very strange. Under 4.0.3 it works fine. Now I will update the program to try to understand the source of the problem.

Updated office suite to version 4.1.2.3. Yes, you’re right - now the macro doesn’t work. Sorry. :frowning:

no problem!though I was doing something wrong, thank you again for your help johnsun!

Hi JohnSUN,

any idea how I can get the macro to work on my side? should I rollback my Libre version to 4.0.3?

I don’t know what to advise. You can rollback to version 4.0.3. You can wait for the new version - perhaps this bug will be fixed. You can try this extension

Think I will rollback to version 4.0.3 until the new version comes out with the bug fixed, thanks again for your help JohnSUN

Oh! Tested macro from calendar.ods in LiO 4.1.0.4 - work nice too!

Hi JohnSUN, I’ve tested this on the latest version of Libre, but the calendar macro does not want to work?
The error when I click on the calendar cell is"BASIC runtime error, Object variable not set". Any idea how to fix this?
