How can I create a macro that does several things in Draw?

I have created a specific document that I use on OBS as a score banner. As games progress, I need to change the numbers and then export, choose jpeg, say “yes” and finally it is done. I’d like to be able to press one key that not only saves the document but also exports it directly to the same file. Thus, each time it is engaged, the file is changed to the new version and OBS will automatically use the newest version.
I’ve been doing it manually and have become pretty quick but I KNOW there must be a better way.

Any help is appreciated.

Rather than manually changing your file, I suggest you use an onscreen live spreadsheet.

  • Use the graphic without numbers as a background for a spreadsheet.
  • Turn off grid display and set a distinctive background color for the spreadsheet.
  • Use that spreadsheet window as the score overlay, instead of your graphic file, with numbers carefully positioned by adjustment of the cell grid.
  • Add a Chromafilter to your scoresheet source. Use that distinctive background color as a custom key color, and adjust opacity.

You could also use the graphic file and the spreadsheet window as separate sources, but then you have to toggle two sources if you need to enable/disable score display “live”. Not a problem if you use studio mode, but a bit of a hassle.

Another option is to use the Draw window itself, not a spreadsheet, for the overlay. I believe that editing a Draw slide online would get messy and distract from the action. The spreadsheet will look cleaner. Of course, this may be a matter of taste and will depend on the nature of gameplay. (Strategy games vs. FPS vs. boardgames, etc.)

It is to be used for pool/billiard matches… Thanks for the options… now to figure out what you said… LOL
