NeoOffice displays whether the document is edited at the top margin of the document window. When it’s saved, the display removes the word “Edited”. Is there a comparable way to see whether a document in LibreOffice is edited?

prerequisite: View -> [x] Status Bar enabled.
Watch the diskette symbol in the Status Bar, which turns to red, if your document has been modified and turns to grey, if you have saved your document.
