how to change the bibliography entry to superscript

Hi,

I understand from the docs how to create the bibliography entry enclosed in {} [] () and a number [1]. What I cannot find is how to make the bibliography entry superscript.

I could highlight the bibliography entry, right click and select Character, Character, Position, Superscript. I have a large document with almost 50 references. Can a series of button clicks superscript all entries at the same time?

Tommy62.

I suggest you submit an enhancement request on https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/. Note number in text is styled Footnote Anchor or Endnote Anchor (character style) so that you can customise how the anchot looks. There is no such style as Bibliography Anchor which would have the save function.

thank you ajlittoz.

enhancement submitted, tdf#132786

thank you once again ajlittoz.

I added a comment to support the request.

For the record.

Bibliography entries do not receive a specific character style like note anchors or hyperlinks. Consequently, user has to painfully hunt for the entries and apply manually some style. There is a high risk to forget entries as is the case with any manual process.

I fully support an enhancement to mark up bibliographic entries with a dedicated character style.

@Tommy62: your enhancement request is now filed. But this is FOSS based on volunteers development. There is already a considerable backlog of bugs, some of which really annoying. So don’t expect a quick implementation. However, you are allowed to hope.
