writer popup repositioning

There seems to be a new feature of Libre Writer where when I try to reposition a Writer popup window on the Writer document, the popup window becomes linked to the document. This prevents moving the popup out of the way so that you can see the document while you make adjustments within the popup. If you try to move the popup, the whole document moves along with it, instead.

Is there a way to disable this linking so that the popup can be repositioned separately from the document?

No such feature known - does this also happen in Safe Mode (Help -> Restart in Safe Mode)?

It’s late, but solves the problem.
It comes from GNOME settings. I solved it with this command:
gsettings set org.gnome.mutter attach-modal-dialogs false
