writer--tools- (letter) insert address block - HOW TO SAVE CHANGES???

Hello!
I wanted to change address block in letter.(merged documents, calc in writer)
It went fine on look, but I COULD NOT SAVE THE CHANGES!
I had to open another document and do all the job again!
PLEASE, can someone help???
