Writer: PDF Form - When filling PDF form Validate before submit

I am creating a PDF for using Libreoffice Writer 5x.

Is this possible:

• include a button in the form whose function is the validate the inputs and provide messages for filling required fields.

I assume you meant “creating a PDF using Libreoffice Writer 5x”, and “for” was a thinko.

Right, too much on my mind at the time of writing, the ‘for’ is a typo. I assume the ‘no’ is good for the newer versions of Writer, too.

LibreOffice does not embed scripts (a non-standard extension to the format) into PDFs, which would be a pre-requisite for the asked functionality.

The answer is “no”.
