confusion with new database and sheet1

I was here last week having major problems with using a database that had been working to print envelopes. After I installed OneDrive all my links were messed up and I eventually created a new database (newwinners.odb) from my spreadsheet (weeklywinners.ods). Now, I can see sheet1 in the db with the information from last week. I cannot figure out how to get my current spreadsheet info into sheet1 in the db. If someone could point me to how to change this data without creating a new db every week, I would appreciate it.
It seemed that when it was working before, I used the same spreadsheet each week and just changed the data.
I updated the data in weeklywinners.ods, but it doesn’t apply to sheet1. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.NewWinners.odb(/upfiles/15899759106956446.odb)

Hello,

If your database was created based upon a spreadsheet (Base file shows “Spreadsheet” in lower left corner of main screen) then adding data to the Calc file will add it to the Base file. When adding data, the Base file is to be kept closed. Once the data is added and saved in Calc, opening the Base file will show the updated information.

Just re-tested on Ubuntu 20.04 with LO v6.4.3.2

The db shows spreadsheet …weeklywinners.ods at the bottom of the screen. I added the current data to the spreadsheet shown in the db. When I open sheet1 in the db, it is showing data from last week and has not been updated with the new information. I have modified the original question to include the odb and ods files. I don’t know if that will help. Should I be looking at Ubuntu? not sure what that is?

@LindaPro,

Your posting only included the .ods file. Created a new Base file & attached to your spreadsheet and had no problem with adding information in the Calc file & it appearing in the Base file. Don’t understand where your problem may be.

BTW, Ubuntu is a Linux operating system.
