I have not got enough space on my C: drive to install Libre Office. I tried to install it to an external drive, but it insists on installing to C: drive, and coming back with an insufficient Disc Space message.

The method depends entirely on your Operating System, which you did not tell us about.

Why not use the portable version? Link from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/... . You would have to use Wine or Crossover for Linux or Apple. It is a bit slower though, so if you are short of space it is better to get replacement or additional larger hard drive (SSD for preference) and install the usual LO. Cheers, Al

Of course it's Windows (C: drive) - but what do you mean writing "I tried to install it to an external drive"? That "tried" must had been some sequence of actions - press where on what...? What "it insists on installing to C: drive" means? Something gets shown? a warning - which? something doesn't change -what? ...
