cannot print very big font

i cannot print font bigger than 300 using writer or calc. it happen lately, i used to print very big size before (up to 900). as i’m always in charge for backdrop decoration. but suddenly when i try to print big size font like i used to, it rescale to smaller size (about 300). i even using the same document as before, i just edit the font that i want. so all setting suppose to be same as before.
i try print using other printer, the result is same like my printer (brother MFC-J430W). i try to update the software. in preview mode it show the size that i want. but when it printed out they come out smaller, not like the preview.
what should i do?
i’m using LibreOffice for 4 years.

Didi,

Seem that there is a wrong selected option in the Print dialog.

LibreOffice (I’m using 6.3.6.2) allow font size up to 999.9 points.

I had the same issue trying to print an outlined font at 575 points. The font got scaled down on printing even though is showed correctly in the print preview. Exporting to PDF, and then printing from the PDF viewer solved the problem for today.

Printing to Brother MFC-J6945dw using Raleway Thin font at 750 points, prints as expected.

  • Is the chosen font on the system? A substituted font might have different metrics
  • Does it happen in Safe Mode? Might be a corrupted User Profile
