Why do my punctuations turn into emoticons? (Impress)

I was making a presentation and then my comas and dots started turning into emojis

Please provide detail:

  • Version of LibreOffice? See menu Help - About LibreOffice
  • Operating system platform? (Windows, MacOS, Linux)
  • Did you use a presentation template or start from a blank slide?
  • If you used a template, was it one of the defaults that come with Impress, or one you have downloaded?
  • Does all punctuation convert to emojis, or only the “standard ones”? :slight_smile: :slight_smile: :frowning: :frowning: :sunglasses: etc.
  • Have you installed any plugins for LO or other software (typcally messaging software), to add emojis by keyboard.
