Can Libreoffice have issues if installed on a pc with Openoffice?

Good point. When, however, you just use the defaults, it is OK.
may be - or not - i had some filthy issues with a rock solid machine where my yet best guess is it was regarding install of older versions of LO and/or parallel install of AOO and/or parallel install of ex$el and/or parallel use different of them and/or ‘UserInstallations’ shared by them … can’t say for sure …
if you want to be a little more careful about such entanglement … install the LO version(s) as ‘server images’ - msiexec /a Libre… - and create separate paths for the ‘UserInstallation’, you can find them in the bootstrap.ini in the ‘program’ folder, usually pointing to the user directory, and will be up-ge-dated for updates and down-ge-graded for downgrades? with independent directories you are on the safe side,
