When inserting “a newline newline b newline newline c” to a formula, everithing is ok. After save and open a document the formula is changed to “stack { a # # b # # c }” and there appears two inverted question marks before b and c in formula display. What am I doing wrong? (I know, I could split a formula to three formulas.)

probably you are saving your document as .docx. Use ODF format .odt. You may want to report that as a bug regarding import/export filters of .docx file format here (if it is not yet reported).
