First word is capitalized even when I don't want it to

LibreOffice 6.4: type first word in box and I don’t want it capitalized

@Yamsy,

The word capitalizes when you pulses the space bar? Have you tried to change it afterward? Only happen in text boxes? Have you seen in menu Tools - AutoCorrect - AutoCorrect Options - Options tab.

If you only occasionally want lower case at the beginning press Ctrl+Z immediately after the space bar. The space will remain but the automatic capitalisation will undo.

If you are used to doing your own capitalisation entirely then LeroyG’s suggested setting change is perfect

Thank you.

@EarnestAl,

Merge both comments and post an answer. It’s your turn. :slight_smile:

I don’t know how to merge both comments. And answers were perfect. Thanks

@Yamsy,

My previous comment was to @EarnestAl.

After the answer was posted, you (@Yamsy) can mark the circle that will appear to the left of the answer, to show that the answer solved your question. Goodbye!

If you are used to doing your own capitalisation entirely then untick both boxes in the menu Tools - AutoCorrect - AutoCorrect Options - Options - Capitalize first letter of every sentence Cheers, Al (but really credit to LeroyG)
