Libre writer new question

Using macair. Libre 6.0.3.2

I have followed several instructions in you tube and text to change paragraph settings. I have written a document but an un wanted inset paragraph stays permanently
I can do libre menus, tools. But get no further
They tell me to select finder. Cannot find this.
I am told to click file File for choose default. Cannot find this
