How do I force Libreoffice to use certain font?

I have issue using exact one font: I’ve installed 21-styled font (victor mono), but in font-selection menu there’s just “Victor Mono” listed. If I try to use bold button it will use bold, but not extra-bold, for example.

How can I select exact font to type? I found that I can type in name of font, for example “Victor Mono Obliquie” worked just fine, but “Victor Mono Thin Oblique” didn’t worked for some reason. Can I maybe give Libreoffice path to font file to use?

The operating system manages fonts, check your font folder to see all the fonts that you expect are there (there doesn’t seem to be an extra bold at the sites I looked at).

LO offers the fonts managed by the operating system, the possible exception is if you have installed fonts while LO was open, it might not see them immediately; restart LO to see all. Cheers, Al

Did you check the character format dialog? Aren’t all those styles listed under the font options?

Follow-up: I have downloaded the font package and tested under Windows 7. I do not see an extra-bold version. Are you sure it is present?

Not knowing which OS, it’s impossible to answer the question.

I have downloaded and installed font set from github. I see seven names such as: Victor Mono, Victor Mono Thin, etc. If I click the italic button I get the oblique version, if I click the bold button I get the bold version. This is normal, a good font designer includes those characteristics in the font rather than relying on algorithms from font management.

If you can’t see the seven names try re installing the font. Al
