Hello, instead of asking a new question with tag meta, you can edit the tag of previous question itself by clicking near tags which is just below the question, common in your case. And you must delete this question to avoid a duplicate. Thank you, please wait until someone answers your question there.

It’s not pedantry. It’s only avoiding cluttering the site with duplicates. This site is not a forum and does not offer the tools you find in forums. Having duplicates confuses both contributors and casual users.
You ask a precise question and you get a relevant answer. You ask a fuzzy question (your first instance) and you get an answer corresponding to what the reader understood: in this case, you don’t need any login to use LO, which is perfectly true.
Anywhere there are rules. When you drive, you drive on the side of the road defined by the Law. If you don’t abide by that, you incur death fatality. Here this isn’t as serious, but we aren’t in your head and we can’t guess when the question is too fuzzy and misleading because of an error in tagging.
