How do I switch back and forth from portrait to landscape in 7.0?

How do I switch back and forth from portrait to landscape in 7.0?

Format -->page style is greyed out

And I want to mix portrait and landscape, not make the entire document one or the other

Many thanks,

Page orientation is a property of the page style. A page style can have only one orientation.

Consequently, you need at least two page styles, e.g. Default Style for portrait and Landscape for landscape.

Transition between the page styles is done through a “special” page break, not the simple Ctrl+Enter, but Insert>Manual Break>Other Break where you can select the “next” page style, the one in effect after the break.
