How to Protect a spreedsheet so you can edit

I’m wont to protect my spreadsheet and be able to edit it with out unlocking all cell’s

I’m not sure whether I got yout question right (so sorry, if this answer doesn’t match your question)

• Protecting a sheet makes cells editable only, if they don’t have the Protected attribute.
• All cells have the Protected attribute by default and therefore all calls are protected (non-editable) if you protect your sheet.

Hence the solution is:

Remove the Protected attribute from all cells you need to be editable though the sheet is protected before you protect your sheet. To do so:

• Remove sheet’s protection
• Select the cell(s) you want to have editable even if the sheet is protected.
• Right click -> Format Cells -> Tab: Cell Protection -> Option:[ ] Protected (unset)
• Protect your sheet
