can´t save changes in the customization window

Hi there

I need to change some shortcuts in Writer, but when i go to the customization option the window is to large, so i can´t save any of the changes. Any solution to this?

Thanks!

I am assuming that you are on Windows. You probably have a screen height of 768 pixels which is sufficient to show the entire menu if Windows has set text to 100%, in your case it is probably higher than 100%.

Click on the Start Menu > Settings > System > Display, on the righthand pane scroll down to Scale and Layout, in the field with the label “Change the size of text, apps, and other items” change the drop down box to 100%, close the window. You should now be able to see the full length of menus in LO (and possibly other apps).

If the text is too small for you to read then you probably need a bigger screen, or some reading glasses from the $2 shop

Hi! Sorry i didn’t put the platform. I’m using Ubuntu 16.04 with gnome.

Is your screen resolution height 768 or greater? Have you got Large Text switched on? To turn it off to see complete menus, see How to Change the Text / Font Size on Ubuntu 16.04 | 18.04 Screen - Website for Students

Or, having made your customisation, then pressing Alt+O (O for OK) should implement the changes.

Neither of those solutions worked. However i solved it by quickly dragging the customization screen up. Thanks for your help!
