Calc Fill Down Weekday

I need to fill down a column with weekdays (I do this each month).

Mon
Tue
Wed
ect;

For the life of me I can’t seem to get it right.

Just type Mon in the first cell, click on the cell, then use the little black square at the bottom right of the cursor to drag downward.

If this don’t work, choose menu Tools - Options… - LibreOffice Calc - Sort Lists. There you must see a list with Mon,Tue,Wed…. If not listed, add it with the New button.

LibreOffice Help on Sort Lists.

If you do it with normal text, you have to create a week (Mon-Sun). Mark the days of the week, grab the marker (small black square) at the bottom right and drag down as far as you need.

Hello,

I’d do such thing using in A1 : 2020-09-01 and A2: =A1+1, A3: A2+1 and so on and format the cells using Format Code DDD (example is for the month starting tomorrow)

This is reusable every month, you don’t need a calendar to look where a specific month starts and you could even perform calculations with the date.

Hope that helps.
