how to sign up for Libre to make document, etc

I had Libre for years and my New IT man took it off. I NEED it…it is the best url I have. Please tell me how to get it back on my computer

If it is a company policy then you might want to consider learning the company provided software, even if it isn’t to your liking. There is a portable version that can run off a USB pendrive, see LibreOffice Portable Fresh (full-featured office suite) | PortableApps.com . You can unpack it yourself or use the portableapps platform, PortableApps.com Platform Features | PortableApps.com, to load it to the pendrive

Is it still on your computer but the default file associations have changed? See question 262528

Installation instructions are at Installation Instructions | LibreOffice - Free Office Suite - Based on OpenOffice - Compatible with Microsoft . I would recommend installing the stable version LibreOffice 6.4.6 from Download LibreOffice | LibreOffice - Free Office Suite - Based on OpenOffice - Compatible with Microsoft unless you’re using Linux then you might want to look at the version offered by your distribution first before deciding

If you need a bit more help could you please edit your question to add operating system and version.

You could ask the new IT man why he took it off and ask him or your boss to let you have it back if you are not allowed to self-install software. I do agree with what Earnest Al mentioned about company policy, but why didn’t the company tell you about the (change in) policy?

I suppose an alternative would be to use your own laptop if you have one.
