Headless LibreOffice 4.1 turns Wingding checkboxes into the letter q

I use headless LibreOffice to convert .odt files into .pdf files. Ever since updating to 4.1, the checkboxes of Wingding font in the .odt file turn into the letter q once converted to .pdf.
