Is there a "native" way to include images in comments? And how?

I think i have seen comments which included images,
but the comment editor (at least for me) does not seem to contain a button to directly upload an image like with the Question and Answer Textareas.

Is there a karma requirement for uploading images in comments?
Or were the images simply included from an external sites via html / via markdown tags?

I looked in the AskBot Forum and i at least found a hint, that the option to display the editor button should be enableable from an admin perspectiv. ref. How to insert images and attachements to the comments - My site Although the post is a bit on the old’ish side.

The work around is to create a temporary answer with an image included and to copy the encoding into the comment.

 ![label for the image](path_to_image)

You could of course write it manually from the start but it wouldn’t upload the file.

When done, cancel the answer.

Sneaky, I new i had seen somebody … i think Mike K. do something like that.
Its good that there is a way to keep resources on the same site, so links and stuff do not get broken or lost.

I am very happy that i ask, especially since some Questions mostly get discussed in comments.

But i upvote your answer too, since i am pretty sure
the trick @ajlittoz describes is not an “intended” way
to use the upload function of the answers.

So strictly steaking you are both kind of right.

Althrough you could edit your answer to say :

"There is no *offical or intened* way for that." 

Which would fit even more perfectly.
