error updating current record

Just installed LibreOffice and am setting a base table when inserting record I am getting message "Error updating current record Value too long Statement Update…

I have created the same database in Microsoft Access without problems. How can this be resolved.
I assume I have the latest version as I only installed it today.

Which version of LO ?
Which OS ?
Which database - I assume the default hsqldb
How are your fields defined ?
The error message “Value too long” indicates that you are trying to insert a data string that exceeds the length you defined for the field.
