I have file from microsoft office with xlsb. I had trouble to open the file with libre. Can not open with Libreoffice 4.1.3. How to open this file with libre ?. Many thanks for your attention
I was able to open some sample .xlsb files with LO version 4.1.3.2, so there may be another problem like file permission or a damaged or misnamed file. Some websites report that .xlsb files are actually zipped .xls files, so you might try renaming the extension of a copy of the .xlsb to .zip and seeing if a unzip program can open it.
As far as I know, .xlsb file was not a zipped .xls. However, it is true for .xlsx file. In the past OOo can open xlsb files without any problem. Open xlsb file with LO (version 4.0.6.2) will give you extra bold lines. Anyway, I do still has problem opening xlsb files that bring macros inside.
You are right of course, my mistake. Xlsb is a zipped xlsx not xls.
