Changing default in bullet list animation to "on click" in level 2?

I use bullet lists with a couple of levels of hierarchy. With animation, I almost always want the items in the next level down to be “on click” rather than “with previous” which is the default. There are times I do want “with previous” but much less often.

Is there some way to make “on click” the default even at lower levels? Right now I find it burdensome editing so many entries in the animation list.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the default settings for animations. However, rather than editing the individual text entries in the Animation dialog, you can double-click any of the items belonging to the text box to display the “Effect options”. On the “Text Animations” tab, you can change the level for which text should be grouped in one animation (“Group text”).
