Install stops due to missing registry class

The installing program can’t find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE32\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDLLs
and stops. It’s funny, since the is NO HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE32 in my registry at all. What can I do?

Which version do you try to install? What operating system do you use? Windows 7, Windows8 , …, 32bit, 64 bit? Do you have already an installed version of LibreOffice?

It’s the same with any recent English versions (e.g. 4.0.6 and 4.1.4). I’m running Win 7 Ult 64. I’m trying to upgrade from 4.0.5.2.

The install of the LibreOffice 4.1.5 did finally go through, although it did say in the midst of it that “Error 1402. Could not open the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders…”

Did the 4.2.1.1 and it gave the same message yet went through.
