Stop Calc deselecting on Replace

As you’re no doubt aware, if I select a range of cells in Calc, then run Find & Replace over that selection, Calc automatically deselects all cells that weren’t affected.

Now I’m sure that for some use cases this is the correct behaviour, but any time I’m working with Calc, the most likely thing I’m wanting to do next is run several more Find & Replaces over the same original selection, so it is extremely irritating to have to reconstruct that selection every single time.

So my question would be: is there any setup or config control that I can use to turn this odd (and utterly obnoxious) behaviour off? (And why isn’t it off by default?)

And if not, could someone add one ASAP? I can’t be the only person that finds this behaviour makes their workflow far more tedious and error-prone than it needs to be.

As a workaround (it does not work for non-contiguous ranges):

Select a range of cells, press Ctrl+Shift+T and Arrow Down, click Add button, type a name (e.g. a), press Add, OK.

Now press Ctrl+Shift+T, a, Enter, Ctrl+H, do your find and replace, Ctrl+Shift+T, a, Enter

Tested with LibreOffice 6.4.7.2 (x86); OS: Windows 6.1.
