Alternating margins via page styles [closed]

I'd like to have alternating (left margin: 4cm, others 3cm) and (right margin: 4cm, others 3cm) page margins. When I apply the 'right page' style to the first page, the following pages adapt accordingly. But when I then convert it to a title page via Format > Title page, the formatting gets lost and all margins are the same again.

How can I circumvent this?

One has to choose 'Left page' or 'right page' as next style in the organizer tab of the 'First page' style.

That is one way. Another is to edit the Default Style page style > Page tab > Layout settings section > set Page layout to "Mirrored". If the inner/outer margins are the only left/right variable, then this is an easier method.
