Suddenly, libre office will not open. I get a message that says error, download not complete or something to that effect. How do I get libre office back?
I’m running Windows 8.1, and when I tried to install LibreOffice 4.1.4. I got the following error message:
Error 1303 Installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory:
C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\LibreOffice4\program
“Contact your system administrator” This is a private computer, I am the only administrator.
What’s going on?
Right click on installer file and select “run as administrator”.
If LibO opened before and you did not change any system settings etc, try to replace the user profile.
Can you please post exact error message? Can you please also elaborate what are you trying to do? Are you trying to install LibreOffice? In this case it looks like your download is broken. Try to download again: https://www.libreoffice.org/download
What is your operating system? Windows? In this case right click and select to install as administrator.
loissannes may be referring to the face that the download page for 4.1.4 doesn’t appear to be working at the moment. I tried to download the latest version and it took me to https://libreoffice.org/home/dl/win-x86/4.1.4/en-GB/LibreOffice_4.1.4_Win_x86.msi which seems correct but it said that the page was not found and no download occurred. Maybe they’ll fix the links soon.
