Space before Figure entries in Table of Figures

Hello!

Every time I create a Table of Figures in a master document, the table has a space (just one) before each entry. Is this expected behavior? A bug? The TOC and Index of Tables don’t seem to behave this way? Is there a workaround to remove it?

Thanks much.
Lisa

Can you better describe what happens? A screenshot would illustrate the case (with a clear indication of which space is the offending one).

Attaching a screenshot is done by editing the question and using the paperclip tool.

I’m resurrecting this thread because I still haven’t been able to figure this out. Master document, table of figures, and a space appears prior to each entry (screenshot now attached to question). There are no spaces before the word Figure in the captions in the text.

Any ideas about how to remove the space? Thank you!

A screenshot does not allow to diagnose the content of the file. Edit your question to attach a 1- or 2-page sample. When editing the attach tool is the “paperclip”.

Right-click on the image to open the context menu.
Choose Insert>Caption.

Is it possible that you have a space in front of “Figure” in “Properties|Category”?
