I just switched from Windows/MS Office to LinuxMint/LibreOffice.
When adding a sheet or switching between table sheets in calc it takes at least 3 seconds in a new empty file. When using a file with multiple sheets and data it even takes longer. My system is Linux Mint 16 Cinammon (64 Bit) - Libre Office 4.1.3.2 and the slowdown also occurs when I use the official Linux Mint 16 64-Bit Live-CD. When trying the older Live CD (Linux Mint 15 64-Bit/Libre Office 4.0.2.2) there is no noticeable delay switching between the sheets!
