Why does my equation work in text but not in Draw?

I entered the following equation in a text document, and it worked fine. I entered it in Draw and the radicle was misplaced. Is it a Bug? I tried to enter a bug report, but Bugzilla itself seems to be broken…

r = sqrt{ R^2- left [ {w/2} over {1+b/r} right ]^2 }

I cannot remember when I last inserted a Math object into a Draw page (if ever at all). Anyway, I tried your formula, and there is obviously a bug. The formula is well rendered as long as the editor is active, but as soon as I quit it, the formula gets completely malformed.

In what way did this show? I visit bugs.documentfoundation.org often, but did not notice a specific problem.

What LO version do you use and what OS? It seems as already fixed problem because in 7.2 I can’t repro it

Lupp: the Bugzilla entry page insisted I enter a LO version number, but would not take my entry. I highlighted the version in the dropdown, but it still gave me the “Must enter a version” error. I was using Chrome on Windows 10–perhaps it was a browser issue?

Kompilianenn: I am using LO version 6.4.7.2, the latest “stable” version, as I am a newbie and not qualified as a beta tester. I am on WIndows 10 (X64).

Confirm the issue in LibreOffice 6.4.7.2 (x86); OS: Windows 6.1.

Hagar: I apologize for not being clear. When I said the equation worked correctly in a text document, I did not mention that the text document was done in LibreOffice Writer, which indeed renders the equation correctly. It is LIbreOffice Draw that renders it incorrectly. I am not able to attach a screen shot (something to do with points?), sorry.

I tested with Draw from a few versions of the6.x.y serie and also with V7.0.1 without getting the issue.
I couldn’t test with a 6.4.7 because there isn’t a portable package, I I didn’t undergo the trouble to install a standard Win 6.4.7 in parallel.
My current 7.0.3.1 is showing the issue, and this also with a reset user profile.
Somehow strange: 6.4.5 ok, 7.0,1 ok, 6.4.7 bad, 7.0.3 also? Well, strange things occur.
