Unable to start download

I have just tried to start the download of Libre Office and then nothing happens. I get to a screen asking for a donation, then nothing. I click on various links to try to get the download, but nothing happens. Many thanks, Peter.

Can you be more specific? What links did not work? Did something happen in the background? Do other links work as expected? Have you tried to restart the browser? What browser do you use? And what OS do you use? Do you use any plugins that may block content and/or have JavaScript disabled? Are you in a network that disallows certain kinds of content?

Hi bencomp, thank you for trying to help ( as you have probably guessed already, I am very much a novice when it comes to computers etc).
The operating system is Windows 8.1, which I’ve not used before (it’s on my daughters laptop). I had accessed the internet from the Windows screen, clicking on the Google icon (which presumably uses Microsoft IE 10 for Windows 8). However, following on from your comments I have now tried using Google Chrome, I clicked the LibreOffice_4.1.4 link and it seems to be working fine, so thank you very much for taking the time to help.
By the way, I am only loading LibreOffice because when I updated to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8 and then tried to open Microsoft Office it asked for the Licence Key (or something like that), which we don’t have, because the laptop was bought second hand. I am sure that the licence is genuine, but I don’t know if it can be re-activated (or rolled back perhaps) without the 24 digit code. Please let me know if you can suggest some way to get Microsoft Office running again - it did work OK before the update to 8.1.
Many thanks again, Peter

You’re welcome! Your last question, however, is off-topic - and I wouldn’t know how to answer; no licence keys in LibreOffice!

As gathered from the comments: if the download will not start from Internet Explorer running on Windows 8.1, try a different browser.

I am having the same problem. I have tried Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome, all with the same result. Something is wrong with the page.
