I've used OpenOffice for a few years, and I just moved to a new version of Ubuntu that has LibreOffice instead. I tried to open an ods file that I made in OpenOffice (and it still opens fine in OpenOffice), but all that happens in LibreOffice is I get this "Filter Selection" window (whatever that is), no options on which will actually open the file.

I've searched for similar thread on this forum, in it other cases people suggested that it was a file corruption. That's not the case here---I've confirmed I can still open the file in OpenOffice.

I could save it in a different format in OpenOffice, but I don't know what format LibreOffice likes.

Thanks.

Can you provide such a file? Then it is much easier to find the reason.

Never mind! It was an installation problem, which my system administrator has now fixed.
