What happened?

I have a spreadsheet I update every day which includes an average of 3 cells. Yesterday the formulas worked just fine, but today 1 of the 3 cells in the average did not update to today’s cell, so the average was wrong. It was easy to see because the average of 3 numbers came out lower than any of the 3 numbers. Why didn’t the 1 cell out 3 in the average update?

Don’t post twice. You’re confusing contributors as to which occurrence to answer.

As your question is formulated, we have to resort to crystal ball and fortune telling. Without a look at your formulas, we may as well toss coins. Your best chance is to edit your question to attach your file or an anonymised version of it (but still with the problem). Note that you can attach files only to the question (not to a comment), so take care to edit it and to use the paperclip tool.

Are you using LibreOffice version 7.0.2.2?

Hello @tom9940, Please, edit the title of your question to something like “Cells did not update”. Thanks.

In Calc check that Data > Calculate > AutoCalculate is ticked.

You can do a hard recalculate Data > Calculate > ReCalculate Hard Ctrl+Shift+F9 to recalculate.

@anon73440385 alludes to a potential issue with 7.0.2.2 so consider updating to a newer version. Cheers, Al
