Maximum Footnote Area

Hello! I am new to LO, i have to work with footnotes a lot. While working with footnotes, i have found that LO doesn’t allow maximum footnote area. It does only 78% or less.
My question is, how to get maximum footnote available area?
Kindly Help

There does not appear to be any open enhancement request for “footnote+height” and I feel this would be useful, for cultural reasons (as suggested) if no other. The current limitation under the Format > Page… > Footnote tab seem arbitrary at best and possibly non-functional i.e., Not larger than page area is not as accurate as it could be.

Please raise a bug and mark it clearly as an enhancement. Be sure to include as much detail as possible (and include the cultural reasons). Post a link to any bug raised back here in the form “fdo#123456”. Thanks.

Thanks @Oweng
I have reported a bug here
Bug 73977

Maybe I don’t understand your question very well, but a limitation of a footnote area makes a lot of sense. A footnote is a note which adds some explanation to a word or part of a text on page. If you increase the footnote area to - let’s say - 90% ,you only have 10% of a page for text and 90% for footnotes. I feel that in such a situation it might be better to reconsider the content of your relate paragraph or chapter.

My experience with up to about 10 footnotes per page is that the automatic height adjustment work very well.
My setting is: Format > Page > Footer > Autofit height is checked.

Thanks Rost52.
Actually unlike English or other Languages, Arabic books have a huge amount of footnote text. Sometimes a single footnote continues to 2 or more pages. a page with footnote only has dots at the top… so i want 90% of my page to have footnote text. Is that possible?

Strange customs  But it might be that writer2latex would serve you well.
