I have Libre Office Version: 6.4.7.2 (x64).
In calc when I type in a number such as 1.5, I get a date 01/05/2020. I change the format to a general number but as soon as I type in 1.5 or 7.5 or whatever I get a date and find the cell format has reverted to date. If I change the format after I have typed in 3.5 I get the number 43954.
If I type in 35.5 then it stays as 35.5, as it is an impossible date. Ifi I type in 1.50 it also works, but it seems a shame to have to use such a workaround.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
john
Hello @JohnPa1, Choose menu Tools - Options… - Language Settings - Languages, and change the Date acceptance patterns: so that there is no dots.
Tested with LibreOffice 6.4.7.2 (x86); OS: Windows 6.1.
