why does the grid not show

The grid does not appear in Draw even though I have clicked it on and off multiple times, plus restarted Draw multiple times.

What is the setting in Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Draw -> Grid -> Resolution? If that is 0.00" for both Horizontal and Vertical as well, you won’t see a grid regardless of option [x] Visible Grid being activated.

Resolution is set at 3.94" and I can’t make it any larger. Subdivision is 2. Axis are syncronized.
I have a 1:24 resolution because I need to fit 17 feet across x 10 feet down on an 11" x 8.5" page (landscape).
I’d also like to understand why the snap range is in pixels only, and not something more understandable like the scale across top or side?
Lastly, my scale often goes away after I change an option… not sure why. I know a lot of questions… but I’m a newbie to Draw and want to use it more often… just have not taken the time to read a lot of the help information.

Ok, so I answered 1 of my questions… the grid size is based on drawing page size, not the drawing scale. So I changed the grid to .5" which equates to 1 foot (basis 1:24) and I get a grid every 1 foot…

As for the rulers (I called it the scale above), I’ll let it be and hope it doesn’t change.

I’d still like to know why the snap range is in pixels, and not page inches or scale metrics…

You work on a screen, and the screen resolution is in pixels (maybe 72 dpi or 96 dpi, see your monitor specifications).
