Can Libre open files and folders stored on M/s One Drive?

My MS subscription has expired as I intend to use Libre from now on. MS tell me they will delete data in One Drive in a couple of months.
Meanwhile I hope to open folders and save the contents to my hard drive and view with Libre. Initial attempts say Libre is unable to open these (zipped) folders.
Any help appreciated.

This question is confusing. Did Microsoft send you ZIP files of you OneDrive content or why do you have your OneDrive data in ZIP files (Which of course cannot be extracted by LibreOffice, since LibreOffice is not a ZIP archive program). If you got ZIP files on OneDrive you need

  • Copy 'em to your local disk
  • Extract `em using you personal ZIP program (which is included in Windows File Explorer)
  • Use the proper application to open the content of the (now) extracted folders. At that point LibreOffice enters the scene: LibreOffice can be used to open your MS Office files as there are .xlsx, .docx, .pptxand a lot of more file types …

LibreOffice is not a ZIP archive program

Strictly speaking, it is in a way, as ODF files are ZIP archives
