The file has been replaced with just numbers on the columns and I want to recover the file that was replaced

If you have replaced (i.e. saved to the original location using the same file name) a file with another version of your file, then you can’t recover the previous version. You have overwritten the old data with new data. There is one exception to this, if
- you took precaution and had activated
Tools -> Options -> Load/Save -> General -> Option: [x] Always create backup copy. –and– - you did save the new (incorrect) version of your document only once
If both conditions are met, check

Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> Paths -> Type: Backupsfor the location where these backups reside - the Backups-directory for file having the name of your file with extension
