I have tried to follow the advice on this site as far as resetting profiles, reinstalling LibreOffice etc but nothing is working. When I try to open a file it does nothing. If I try to open LibreOffice it doesn’t open. If I try to open LibreOffice in safe mode…same thing. I try to put in the command that is discussed in the one topic on this site but all that results in is a black box appearing and then disappearing. I am stumped.
Please help.
And you are using which operating system and you installed which version of LibreOffice?
Did you also try to disable any security feature like antivirus programs, ransomware protection etc.?
I am not sure how to tell which version as I cannot open the program but I am using WIndows 10 as OS

You don’t know what you installed? If downloading from libreoffice.org, you need to select a version, so you should know.
Anyway (this is not a fix action, but about to get more details of root cause)
Right click -> Run on Windows Start menu (or Windows Key + R)cmd into Open text field and press ENTER key"%ProgramFiles%\LibreOffice\program\soffice" --safe-mode into command line (including the double quotes) and press ENTER
Do you get any error messages?
