I cant copy the cell formulas in office calc

Hi,
I cant seem to copy the formulas in my spreadsheet by dragging the bottom right of cell square icon, after several attempts, do I need to clear something? Also I have tried to copy and paste just the formulas but I am coming up with either zero in cells or #ref’s in every cell im trying to copy…what is the correct way to copy formulas to other cells??? Also is there a way to upload my file so someone can help me please
thanks
A
Hi, I have attached the spread sheet to see if anyone can help me to get the formulas copied across my spead sheet, I have completed the first few grid, but I cant copy without getting #ref signs, please see attached file and if you could quickly finish it for me I would be eternally greatful…thanks in advanceC:\fakepath\number of sales to revenue figures.odsnumber of sales to revenue figures.ods

Yes,

The default for cell references is “relative addressing”, meaning that when you copy a formula to a new cell, the references to other cells will move accordingly.

You need this to happen partially for the three factors of your formula. The last one needs to move vertically while staying horizontally locked to column A.The others need to move horizontally with your formula, but stay vertically locked to row 1 and 3.

The spreadsheet term for this locking is “absolute addressing”, and it is done by prefixing a $to the cell address element. So your formula in G20 (which seems to be the last one you attempted to copy from) needs mixed (relative + absolute) addressing on all references. It should read =G$1*G$3*$A20.

That cell can then be copied by using clipboard functions (copy/paste) or the fill handle you mentioned.

As a quick solution, try using your original file, define print ranges (from the Format menu) and there you can select to repeat first (A) column for every page.

Then you break up your dataset. That means you need a new formula for each chunk of data, like you started in cell B53. You also need some measures to ensure that page breaks occur on sensible positions. (Most likely candidate: manual page breaks.)

Did you try to create a print range from the original dataset, and set column A and rows 1-3 to repeat on each page? Is that not what you need?
