version 4.1.7 install

You asked me to download version 4.1.7, which I did and then installed it. It is a disaster. It has completely %*&@!! a document made in the previous version (4.0.4). All the pictures are jammed together on the first page, and it is going to take me a day’s work to remake the document.

And then having wasted at least a day of my time, you have the gall to ask me for a donation.

Please always check that the new version is fully compatible with the previous version before you release it. And stop wasting my time.

and I note that there is no actual feedback section so I have to put my complaint to the forum.

This is not the Apache Open Office forum. I see that version 4.19 is the current version for Open Office.

@EarnestAl: it’s 4.1.9, not 4.19 - just as it’s bad when people distort LibreOffice version numbers, the same way it’s not good to jam other software versions :wink:

Mea culpa. I spent too much time checking the bug list there for the issue described and not enough to the version number.

@EarnestAl: but what a nice guess about AOO! It is good to remind @StephenJones that LibreOffice is absolutely independent project, and Apache OpenOffice is a different software.
