I’m organizing text boxes on sheet of Calc and want to populate the text boxes with data from cells of another sheet within the same file (book). Is this possible? If so how can it be done.
I have a document that I use from Excel that I now want to work in Calc.

No, you can’t (neglecting user code).
Sort of. Not with a text box, but if you use a form control list box (without connecting to a database) then in its context menu Control Properties tab Data you can enter a cell range (one column) reference in Source cell range, of which the contents or formula results are displayed.
