Copy & paste in Impress often copies text box as image

Hi all,

When I copy an object in Impress to paste it somewhere else, most of the time (but not always) the object is copied as a bitmap graphic. There is no way to paste as the original object (not even from the Paste Special menu). For example, when I copy a text box using Ctrl-C and paste it using Ctrl-V, Impress pastes a pixelated image of the text box instead of a real text box. As such, I cannot edit the text anymore. Interestingly, sometimes the object is copied as a real object and not as text. I noticed that pressing Ctrl-C twice has a high success rate of getting Impress to copy as an object and not as a bitmap. Other than that I have no clue when Impress decides to copy as an object and when as a bitmap. Does anybody know how to fix this?

I think I found the source of the problem: I had set the clipboard manager of my desktop environment to only retain one item. When I increase it, the issue disappears. Incidentally, this also seems to fix frequent crashes of LibreOffice when closing it.
